    Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Fort Campbell Garrison Commander Colonel James R. Salome will deliver the keynote address at Austin Peay State University’s 88th Summer Commencement on August 5th.

    Salome took command of Fort Campbell on June 18th, 2015, after arriving from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he served as the Commander’s Initiatives Group director, U.S. Army Forces Command. Salome previously served with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, as an operations officer.

    Clarksville’s Riverview Inn to host ME2 Convention in November

    Clarksville Area Chamber of CommerceClarksville, TN –T he area’s first of its kind ME2 Convention (ME2 Con) is coming to the Riverview Inn in Clarksville, Tennessee on November 4th-6th, 2016.

    ME2 is a multi-fandom, multi-day event centered around entertainment and pop-culture that will peak a variety of interests. This convention is for makers, creators, builders, writers, cosplayers, techies, Trekkies, artists, gamers, geeks and more.

    F&M Bank Offers THDA’s “Take Credit” Mortgage Program

    F&M BankClarksville, TN – F&M Bank was the first Mortgage lender in Tennessee approved to offer the Tennessee Housing Development Agency’s (THDA) “Take Credit” program. Take Credit is a Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) program authorized by Congress in the 1984 Tax Reform Act.

    A MCC is a not loan, it is applied for with a mortgage and permits eligible homebuyers to take a federal tax credit up to $2,000 maximum per year based on the mortgage interest paid by the homebuyer.

    Cooling at the Cave Attracts Huge Crowd to Dunbar Cave

    Dunbar Cave State Park - Clarksville TNClarksville, TN – The Friends of Dunbar Cave sponsor Cooling at the Cave, a family event once every year. The event was held Saturday, July 30th. This year’s music was provided by Cumberland Winds Jazz Project, an 18-piece ensemble that was perfect for the venue.

    Their cool jazz thrilled a crowd of more than 300—couples, families with small children, people with their well-behaved dogs, and jazz lovers of all ages. With songs like “String of Pearls,” Tuxedo Junction,” “Stardust,” and other favorites, Cumberland Winds enchanted the on-lookers with their finesse and pleasing harmonies.

Have an interest in learning how to create publications, or documents that you can print and distribute? Come check out this free class.

    This class teaches how to create publications or documents that you can print and distribute. You can use a template for brochures, newsletters, greeting cards, and more or use a blank page and create your own document.
