Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library Teen Program returns
Clarksville, TN – The Teen Program is back at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library! On December 22nd and 29th, from 5:00pm-6:30pm, the library is hosting Teen Board Game Night in the small meeting room. Teens are encouraged to bring their favorite games and a friend.
On January 7th, 2017, the Teen Anime Club returns with a movie showing of “The Boy and the Beast.” The movie will be shown in the large meeting room at 2:00pm.

Clarksville Civil War Roundtable’s next meeting is December 21st, 2016
The 152nd Meeting
Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, December 21st, 2016 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Healthcare. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
The meeting begins at 7:00 pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.

Clarksville Ranks 19th Among Top U.S. Cities for Fastest Job Growth
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville metropolitan statistical area (MSA) ranked 19th in the nation for fastest job growth. A report released today from 24/7 Wall Street, a Delaware-based financial news company, studied employment and job growth from October 2015 to October 2016 for 387 metro areas and announced the top 25 U.S. cities.
The Clarksville MSA added more than 4,700 jobs, an increase of 4.61%, with total jobs at 106,811 in October 2016.

CMCSS named to 7th Annual Advanced Placement District Honor Roll
Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System is one of 438 school districts across the U.S. and Canada to be honored by the College Board’s 7th Annual Advanced Placement (AP) District Honor Roll.

Austin Peay State University student newspaper wins awards at national convention in Atlanta
Clarksville, TN – The All State, the student-run newspaper at Austin Peay State University, earned two national awards from the College Media Association (CMA) during the organization’s Fall National Media Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, October 29th.
Glavine Day, sports editor, earned a coveted second place national Pinnacle Award for Best Sports Page/Spread for her designs featuring the huge win by the Govs at the 2016 Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Championship.

Directed by Ryan Bowie and choreographed by Emily Rourke, “The Happy Elf” follows Eubie the Elf on his musical mission to bring Christmas cheer to Bluesville, a town on Santa’s naughty list. But can he turn a whole town of naughty children nice in just one day?
