    City of Clarksville uses state grants to continue Greenway

    City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Construction has begun on a another downtown section of the Clarksville Greenway, which ultimately will create a 10-mile hiking-and-biking trail connection between the City’s core and Heritage Park in Northeast Clarksville.

    The latest section is known as the River Trail Red River Section and extends north along the Red River from the RiverWalk in McGregor Park to the Highway 41A bridge at Providence Boulevard.

    “Finding Nemo” is about a timid clownfish setting out on a journey to bring his son home after he is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney. A story about family, courage and challenges, Disney and Pixar’s animated adventure captured the Academy Award for “Best Animated Feature Film.”

    City of Clarksville to dedicate Frank Sutton statue Saturday

    City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – A statue of actor Frank “Sergeant Carter” Sutton, who was born and raised in Clarksville, will be dedicated at 1:30pm Saturday on Franklin Street in Downtown Clarksville.

    Mark Holleman, civic leader and broker/owner of Coldwell Banker Conroy, Marable & Holleman working with the City of Clarksville, led the drive to place the statue — created by local sculptor Scott Wise — near the Roxy Theatre in Sutton’s hometown.

    Clarksville’s Rivers and Spires Quilts of the Cumberland exhibit starts tonight

    Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – Rivers and Spires Festival’s award winning Quilts of the Cumberland event begins Thursday, April 20th at the Madison Street United Methodist Church at 5:00pm. There will be quilts of different shapes and sizes on display to the public.

    The quilts will be on display all three days of Rivers and Spires, April 20th through the April 22nd. This exhibit gives people the chance to view a variety of quilts from traditional to one of a kind art quilts by local artisans.

    Shiloh Industries Installs First Production Machine This Week

    Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development BoardClarksville, TN – Shiloh Industries is gearing up for new product production in Clarksville-Montgomery County’s Corporate Business Park with the first new die cast machine expected to be installed this week.

    The company’s soon-to-be local plant manager, Gerald Craycraft, met with the Industrial Development Board this week to announce new improvements and new product lines to Shiloh’s original plans since purchasing Contech in August 2013.
