APSU Center of Excellence for Creative Arts to host “An Elegant Obsession” on September 7th

Clarksville, TN – History and fantasy will collide into an evening of pure entertainment during the premiere performance of the musical drama, “An Elegant Obsession,” at 7:30pm on Friday, September 7th, 2018 in the Mabry Concert Hall.
This event will be hosted by the Austin Peay State University Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA), and guests with reserved seating may attend a formal reception from 5:00pm-7:00pm at 416 College Street on the night of the premiere.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation earns Green Certification Gold status

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Parks and Recreation department recently received a status of “Gold” from the Clarksville-Montgomery County (CMC) Green Certification Program for their efforts in creating a healthier, environment-friendly workplace.
The CMC Green Certification Program is designed to help governments and businesses learn and implement the best practices in environmental stewardship, in an effort to sustain the community’s resources through a series of free workshops taught by environmental and other subject area specialists.

Clarksville, TN – Retired Lt. Gen Ronald Bailey, Austin Peay State University vice president for external affairs, will be the guest speaker at APSU’s Summer 2018 Military and Veteran Graduate Recognition Ceremony this August.
The ceremony, set for 5:00pm on August 8th, 2018 in the APSU Morgan University Center, honors the University’s graduating students who are either veterans, active-duty military personnel, reservists or members of the National Guard.

Clarksville, TN – The Visit Clarksville board of directors announces that Tom Kane has been named chairman for the 2018-19 year, which began July 1st, 2018.
Kane is president and CEO or Fortera Credit Union, a position he has held for six years. Kane is originally from Wisconsin, but has worked in financial services in numerous locations across the country for 25 years. He also served as chairman of the Aspire Clarksville Foundation in 2016-17.
