APSU professor Dr. Christophe Konkobo awarded Fulbright Scholar grant

Clarksville, TN – For the second time in four years, the U.S. Department of State has picked an Austin Peay State University (APSU) professor for its Fulbright Scholar Program.
By winning the award, French and Francophone studies associate professor Dr. Christophe Konkobo will spend the 2019-20 academic year teaching and conducting research in the West African country Burkina Faso.

10 APSU students graduate from inaugural Foundations of Minority Leadership program

Clarksville, TN – This January, Austin Peay State University (APSU) unveiled a new leadership course designed specifically for African American men in the Achievers and Scholars Mentoring Initiative on campus, and on April 23rd, 2019 the University honored the first 10 graduates of the course during a special ceremony in the APSU Wilbur N. Daniel African American Cultural Center.

APSU’s Brown named dean of College of Behavioral and Health Sciences

Clarksville, TN – Dr. Tucker Brown, chair of the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Sociology, was recently named dean of the University’s College of Behavioral and Health Sciences.
Dr. David Denton, former dean of the college, decided to return to the classroom in 2017, leaving the position open. Dr. Rebecca Corvey, professor of nursing, served as interim dean while the University conducted a national search to fill the position.

Students, staff and faculty submitted 15 food-based creations inspired by short stories, novels and children’s books.
