Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s Annual Christmas Light Run set for Saturday at McGregor Park

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will host its third-annual Christmas Light Run, presented by Fleet Feet, from 4:30pm-6:00pm on Saturday, December 11th, 2021 at McGregor Park.

Due to the running event, the Christmas on the Cumberland light display will delay its opening until 6:00pm. The public will not be allowed access to McGregor Park until that time.

Additionally, motorists should be aware that the Christmas Light Run 5K route takes runners across Riverside Drive under the pedestrian bridge and through downtown Clarksville.

Clarksville’s Christmas Parade brings holiday cheer to Downtown

2021 Clarksville Christmas ParadeClarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Lighted Christmas Parade returned to the streets of Downtown Clarksville on Saturday, as thousands came out to watch local marching bands, and an array of floats portraying this year’s theme, Gingerbread House.

Prior to the start of the parade, the Downtown Commons ice rink was packed with skaters, Santa Claus visited with families near a giant Christmas tree, and First Presbyterian Church hosted its Sixth Annual SpiritFest.

Jim Diehr Brings His Artistic Journeys to the Customs House Museum with “Visual Songs, Many Verses”

Fort Defiance to host 19th Century Christmas

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites you to come out, grab a cup of eggnog and get ready for a 19th Century Christmas.

This outdoor historical event is on Saturday, December 11th, 2021 at Fort Defiance Civil War Park from 2:00pm until 3:30pm.

Visitors will be able to step back in time and create period decorations, visit with a 19th century Santa, decorate a Christmas tree, and enjoy eggnog, cakes, caroling, and more.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government announce the winners of the 2021 Lighted Christmas Parade.

More than 100 local businesses, schools, and organizations showcased their Christmas spirit Saturday in Downtown Clarksville by presenting a float or driving a fun vehicle decked out in holiday cheer.

This year’s theme was “Gingerbread Houses” and Lee Irwin, a long-time local reporter, and radio personality served as this year’s parade grand marshal.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Christmas Parade to be held Saturday

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The annual Christmas parade, hosted by the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government, will take place at 5:00pm on Saturday, December 4th, 2021 in downtown Clarksville. Long-time local reporter and radio personality, Lee Irwin, will honorably serve as this year’s parade grand marshal and was selected for his many years of announcing the parade and ongoing support of the Clarksville community.

The parade route will begin on Eighth Street on the Austin Peay State University (APSU) campus. From Eighth Street, the parade will progress to College Street and then to University Avenue. From there the route is the same as years past, proceeding around Public Square, the Historic Courthouse, and back to Franklin Street. From Franklin, the route will turn onto Eighth Street and then return onto the APSU Campus. A map of the route can be found at https://bit.ly/3G8m97H
