Clarksville, TN – While we continue our brief hiatus from films and performances in accordance with Governor Bill Lee’s executive orders limiting gatherings, the Roxy Regional Theatre invites you to join us on our Facebook page for our “Roxy Reads” series, featuring David Mamet’s comedic drama “A Life In The Theatre” this Friday, January 29th, 2021 at 7:00pm.
Read by Executive Director Ryan Bowie and Technical Director/Company Member Matthew Combs, “A Life In The Theatre” portrays the changing relationship of John and Robert, two actors — one older and experienced, the other a young up-and-comer — working together in a repertory company.

Clarksville artist Terri Jordan Exhibits Rotary Park Paintings at Wade Bourne Nature Center
Clarksville, TN – A new series of landscapes makes its debut at the Wade Bourne Nature Center in Rotary Park. “When the Gates Open” is a suite of oil paintings capturing the scenery of the park itself. Artist Terri Jordan, known best for her figurative work, explores the beauty of the changing seasons over the past year, documenting the creek and paths explored by her family on a regular basis.
Roxy Regional School of the Arts’ Spring Session Postponed
Clarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre is anxious to start working with the budding young performers and adults in our community who are interested in honing their craft or discovering a new passion through our School of the Arts educational programming. However, as with most plans over this past year, this remains a fluid situation.
The Roxy will once again be POSTPONING the start of the Spring 2021 session of the Roxy Regional School of the Arts to the first week of March.

Alexis Goines’ Allstate Insurance becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green certified
Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program celebrated its newest member organization on January 12th with a green ribbon cutting. Alexis Goines’ Allstate Insurance office is the 133rd organization in Montgomery County to become Green Certified.
Alexis Goines is an avid recycler at home and upon opening her Allstate office in 2017 she wanted to continue her sustainability practices at work.
APSU alumni Cassidy Graves shows off her yodeling skills on TBS’s ‘Go-Big Show’, Thursday
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University alumni Cassidy Rose Graves will show off her speed yodeling skills on TBS’s ‘Go-Big Show’ on Thursday, January 14th, 2021, at 8:00pm CT.
Graves, of Knoxville Tennessee, is competing in the extreme talent competition show in the hopes of winning a $100,000 grand prize.
Community School of the Arts at APSU offers first weekend workshop, opens spring registration
Clarksville, TN – The Community School of the Arts (CSA) at Austin Peay State University last month offered its first-ever one-day weekend workshop. And because of the workshop’s success, the school hopes to offer more soon.
CSA officials also announced open registration for classes this spring. The deadline to register is Friday, January 29th, 2021. Spring classes begin during the first week in February.
