Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Clarksville BBQ Bash winners
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department hosted Clarksville’s third annual Clarksville BBQ Bash on Saturday, October 19th, 2019 at Liberty Park.
The BBQ Bash included a full barbecue competition, people’s choice, cornhole tournament, artisan vendors and kids activities.
Barbeque Competition: Nineteen competitors from near and far met on the banks of the Cumberland River this weekend to see who had the best barbeque. A team of judges evaluated barbeque in three categories (pork, chicken, ribs) based on the following criteria: taste, appearance, and texture.
APSU Department of Theatre and Dance presents Fall Dance Concert

Clarksville, TN – Dig out your fishnet stockings and sharpen your stilettos! That sweet transvestite and his motley crew are back for the eighth year in an annual tradition at the Roxy Regional Theatre on the corner of Franklin Street and First Street in Historic Downtown Clarksville.
Richard O’Brien’s cult classic “The Rocky Horror Show” returns to the Roxy Regional Theatre for a limited engagement on Friday, October 25th, at 8:00pm. In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.
Clarksville Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade set for November 9th
Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 9th, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville.
The keynote speaker is U.S. Army retired Colonel Rob Salome, who now serves as the Director of Strategy and Leadership Development for Solutions 21, a nationwide consulting firm.
Montgomery County Animal Care and Control Hosts Annual Scotti Reif Superhero Adoption Event
Montgomery County, TN – On Saturday, October 26th, 2019, Montgomery County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) will host its third annual superhero adoption event from 10:00am to 3:00pm at 616 North Spring Street in remembrance of Scotti Reif, son of MCACC employee Adria Reif.
Scotti was an avid animal lover who often helped his mom care for the cats and dogs at MCACC. Scotti passed away in August 2016. The adoption event is done to honor Scotti’s memory and help homeless pets find loving homes.
