Hilltop Supermarket’s 2019 Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook-Off began last Friday night
Clarksville, TN – On Friday night, May 3rd, 2019, Hilltop Supermarket kicked off their 2019 Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook-Off with a party, food, live music and the 2nd annual Country Kids Cook-Off. The weather was really nice despite rain earlier in the day and an overcast sky.
“The weather has been excellent. Considering what it’s been calling for all week and the cloud cover today, it was absolutely excellent,” stated Cody Jackson, Hilltop Supermarket. “There has not been a rain drop yet. The Lord blessed us today.”
Clarksville Civil War Roundtable to hold next meeting on May 15th, 2019
Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, May 15th at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Healthcare – Clarksville. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall. The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces that the Clarksville Downtown Market will open Saturday, May 25th, 2019 with more than 80 vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, local honey, milk, home décor and crafts, seasonal flowers and live entertainment.

Nashville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Theatre and Dance and Nashville Children’s Theatre (NCT), the nation’s oldest professional theatre for young audiences and the largest theatre in Middle Tennessee recently partnered on an apprentice program to help APSU students further their collegiate careers by engaging directly inside the industry.

APSU student Sara Alexander receives exchange scholarship to German university
Clarksville, TN – Sara Alexander, an Austin Peay State University (APSU) graduate student recently received an award to attend one of the oldest and most highly ranked universities in Europe this summer.
Alexander, who is finishing up a master’s in history and a master’s in teaching, will attend Germany’s Heidelberg University in August.

Clarksville, TN – Hilltop Supermarket will be holding their annual Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook Off this Friday and Saturday, May 3rd and 4th. This event is held in honor of Dwayne Byard who past away in 2015.
Friday night is the Kids Cook-Off and live music. The BBQ Cook Off will be on Saturday.
