Clarksville Police Union held “Cops and Bobbers”, Saturday
Clarksville, TN – The annual “Cops and Bobbers” sponsored by the Clarksville Police Union #18 was held on Saturday, May 18th, 2019. The weather was perfect for the event.
There were approximately 50 children who came out and enjoyed an opportunity to fish in the Liberty Park pond. Each of the children were given a fishing pole, tackle, and bait to try out their fishing skills.

Tilted Kilt to hold All Star Meet and Greet with Branscombe Richmand, May 23rd
Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, May 23rd, 2019, the Tilted Kilt in Clarksville will host an All Star Meet and Greet with movie and tv star Branscombe Richmond at the pub beginning at 8:00pm.
The Meet and Greet will include autographs and pictures with Branscombe, his band members and other celebrity guest stars.
Other invited stars include Martin Klebba of Pirates of the Caribbean, Charlene Tilton of Dallas, Kathleen Kinmont of Renegade, Wade Williams of Prison Break and many more.

Get Your Baseball Fever Fix at the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center
Clarksville, TN – The Crouch Gallery at the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center is loaded packed with nostalgia, art, and artifacts of baseball. The exhibit, titled Batter Up! Celebrating America’s Pastime, features items from the Museum’s collection, the art of Chris Felix, and memorabilia from private collectors.
One gem in the show includes a 1927 World Series game ball signed by the Washington Senators, including local legend Hod Lisenbee and several Baseball Hall of Famers, including Goose Goslin, Tris Speaker, and Sam Rice.
APSU’s Chandler named fellow to national educational advocacy organization
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) Eriksson College of Education dean Dr. Prentice Chandler was recently named a fellow to Deans for Impact, a national nonprofit that strives to better prepare teachers for 21st century classrooms. He will join a cohort of 19 fellows from universities across the country.

Performed by sixty-one local youth, ages 10 to 18, from the Roxy Regional School of the Arts, this fast-paced take on the classic tale was adapted by David Simpatico from the 1951 Disney film and the novels by Lewis Carroll.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) Govs Outdoors is holding an outdoor adventure camp for teens this summer.
Govs Outdoors Teen Camp is open to ages 12-15 and focuses on getting teens outdoors and into activities such as hiking, biking, rock climbing and caving, all offered in the Clarksville area.

APSU Dining Services rebrands two restaurants on campus
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s Dining Services introduced two new restaurant concepts on Monday morning, May 13th, 2019 to the APSU Morgan University Center’s food court. During a brief ceremony, Grill Nation and Zona Mexicana were rebranded “Burger 931” and “Tu Taco” respectively.
