Austin Peay State University graduate Ebony Walton wins multiple regional design awards
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) spring 2019 graduate Ebony Walton remembers the exact time the package arrived.
“I remembered it was 4:05pm and my nephew brought it to me,” Walton said. “I thought it would be (a certificate) like my ADDY award. I didn’t know what was being shipped to my home.”
APSU Public Relations, Marketing earns 16 Tennessee College Public Relations Association trophies
Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Public Relations and Marketing team won 16 awards during the 2019 Tennessee College Public Relations Association Awards at the association’s May 24th annual meeting.
The team won four golds, five silvers and seven bronzes.

Kroger becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified
Montgomery County, TN – On Tuesday, May 28th, 2019, a green ribbon cutting was held to recognize Kroger as the latest Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified organization. The certification covered all three Kroger stores in Clarksville (Dover Crossing, Madison Street and Lowes Drive).
Those in attendance at the Green Ribbon Cutting were Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, Montgomery County Chief of Staff Kyle Johnson, Program Manager Carlye Sommers and Program board members Daryl Pater, Haley Randell and Doug Jones.
Dunbar Cave State Park, Port Royal State Historic Park to hold National Trails Day Hikes, June 1st
Nashville, TN – On Saturday, June 1st, 2019, Tennessee State Parks will celebrate National Trails Day with free guided hikes at all 56 state parks. Dunbar Cave State Park and Port Royal State Historic Park will be holding hikes led by park rangers.
This will be the third of the state parks’ signature hikes this year, following First Day Hikes in January and Spring Hikes in March. Thus far, 4,787 park visitors have participated in the hikes.
APSU to make job candidates more competitive with online grad certificate in biometrics

Nfii Ndikintum, vice president of Clinical Affairs and Biometrics at AtriCure will be serving as the lead instructor.
