Central Civitan BBQ Chicken Dinners on sale now
Cunningham, TN – The Central Civitan is currently holding their annual BBQ Chicken Dinner event. The Adult Plate is just $8.00. Please purchase tickets ahead of time. You can purchase from any club member or call David Morgan at 931.624.3522.
This is take out only. Each dinner includes a 1/2 chicken, with baked beans, slaw, and a beverage. Pick up will be at the Central Civitan building located between Hwy 13 and Alonzo Place in Cunningham, TN.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s 41st Annual Queen City Road Race, scheduled for Saturday, April 27th, 2019 is quickly approaching and there is still time to register in person or online.
Online registration can be completed at www.cityofclarksville.com/parksrec and is available until noon on Thursday, April 25th.
APSU professor Dr. Christophe Konkobo awarded Fulbright Scholar grant

Clarksville, TN – For the second time in four years, the U.S. Department of State has picked an Austin Peay State University (APSU) professor for its Fulbright Scholar Program.
By winning the award, French and Francophone studies associate professor Dr. Christophe Konkobo will spend the 2019-20 academic year teaching and conducting research in the West African country Burkina Faso.

Cold, Wet Weather doesn’t slow down Hilltop Supermarket’s 24th annual Easter Egg Hunt
Clarksville, TN – Hundreds of people and children braved the cold, wet weather to take part in Hilltop Supermarket’s 24th annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20th, 2019. Due to the wet ground, the festivities and activities before the Easter Egg Hunt had to be canceled.
The egg hunt started at 2:00pm sharp.
“The weather hurt a little bit. We had to shutdown the activities just because of the mud and we were afraid someone could get hurt,” Cody Jackson said. “We still had a large turnout. We’re thankful.”
Yellow Creek Baptist Church’s Community Easter Egg Hunt a success despite cold weather
Cumberland City, TN – It was cold, it was damp, but that did not stop hundreds of people from turning out for the Yellow Creek Baptist Church annual Community Easter Egg Hunt. The event was held Saturday, April 20th, 2019 at 10:00am. 260 children registered for the event.
“I was so tickled with the crowd today with the weather the way it was,” said Brother Phillip Chambers, Senior Pastor. “It was cold and rainy, but the rain held off for the Easter Egg Hunt.”
10 APSU students graduate from inaugural Foundations of Minority Leadership program
