Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville will celebrate Arbor Day by planting two poplar trees at 11:00am on Friday, April 5th, 2019 at Barksdale Elementary School, 1920 Madison Street.

The trees to be planted have been donated by the Clarksville Tree Board.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is excited to offer the following homesteading classes in the coming weeks.

How to Make a Seed Bomb will be held from 10:00am to noon, Saturday, April 13th at Billy Dunlop Park. Clarksville City Forester Kathrine Killebrew will teach participants how to make seed bombs and use them to grow flowers.

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – Local auditions for the Roxy Regional Theatre’s summer productions of the ’60s musical “Hair” and the baseball musical comedy “Damn Yankees”, as well as the 2019-2020 season, will be held Saturday, April 13th, 2019 beginning at 1:00pm.

Auditions, which are for ages 18 and up, are by appointment only. Actors must be able to attend daytime rehearsals and performances.

Two Austin Peay State University professors picked for prestigious Carnegie fellowship

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Two Austin Peay State University (APSU) professors have been chosen for the prestigious Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program.

They are among five from Tennessee and 51 from the United States and Canada who will travel to Africa this summer to help universities in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda.
