Clarksville Police Union’s Cops and Bobbers a Real Catch

Clarksville Police UnionClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Union, comprised of local enforcement officers, held their second annual Cops and Bobbers at Liberty Park’s pond.

There were 50 eager fishers on hand ready to do battle and try to outsmart the elusive fish. There were varying degree of success in that endeavor, but everyone seemed have a good time.

All the participants were provided everything needed for their fishing adventure from tackle boxes to bait. There were also snacks and drinks given out to help keep the boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 12 fueled and strong.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is gearing up for fall adult softball with leagues open to men and women ages 18 and older.

League play begins Sunday, August 12th, 2018 at the Heritage Park Softball Complex, 1241 Peachers Mill Road. Games will be played weekly and include the following leagues: Men’s, True Co-Ed (equal men and women), and Co-Ed (at least 2 women, men).

Downtown @ Sundown brings Live Music to Downtown Clarksville

Downtown at SundownClarksville, TN – Downtown Commons recently hosted the second installment of Downtown @ Sundown, Clarksville’s newest outdoor concert series, with hundreds of people coming out to enjoy live music by country music duo, Trailer Choir.

Trailer Choir features vocalists Marc Fortney and Vinny Hickerson who gained a wide audience in 2007 when they were signed to Toby Keith’s record label, Show Dog Nashville. The band has had a number of their songs make it onto the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.

This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.

The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.

Downtown at SundownClarksville, TN – Downtown Commons’ Downtown @ Sundown Concert Series & Street Fair is this Friday, June 15th at 6:00pm. Come join us for a night of FREE music and family fun. Featuring Trailer Choir, charting the Billboard Hot Country Charts with songs like “Rockin’ the Beer Gut” and “What Would You Say.”

Openers include Aaron Lessard, a solo artist based in Nashville, known for having a heavy jazz influence and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Chris Turner, a singer/ songwriter from Ninety Six, South Carolina.
