APSU hosting ribbon-cutting ceremony for new Jenkins Building on October 6th
Clarksville, TN – Last February, the Austin Peay State University Office of University Advancement relocated to 318 College Street, marking the beginning of APSU’s expansion into downtown Clarksville.
At 2:00pm, on Friday, October 6th, 2017 the University will officially celebrate this milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the campus’ new Jenkins Building, home of University Advancement. The ceremony will take place at 416 College Street.
CMCSS announces Author Ruta Sepetys to speak at West Creek High School
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System is excited to host author Ruta Sepetys at West Creek High School on November 14th, 2017.
She will be speaking to our entire freshmen class in our Theater, converse with students during lunch for Questions & Answers, and sign copies of her book.
CMCSS announces Author Michael Shoulders Visit to West Creek High School
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System is excited to host children’s book author, Michael Shoulders, at West Creek High School on October 24th, 2017.
He will be conducting two presentations, one for all 10th grade students and another for all 11th grade students.
Movies in the Park season concludes with pair of Star Wars Movies
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s free, outdoor movie series Movies in the Park concludes Saturday, October 14th, 2017 with the showing of “The Force Awakens” and “Rogue One” at Liberty Park’s amphitheater, 1188 Cumberland Drive.
Pre-show activities, coordinated by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department, will begin at 5:00pm.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Department of Electricity (CDE) hosted its Customer Expo Saturday, September 30th, bringing 1,500 to 2,000 people to the Wilma Rudolph Event Center for food, fun and information.
Privott Stroman, CDE HR Director talked about the purpose of the event. “This is our way to thank our customers, give back, and showcase a lot of the vendors we work with. It’s a great way for us to connect with the community.”
Miss Tennessee USA Pageant Tickets Now on Sale
Clarksville, TN – Nearly 90 delegates will adorn Clarksville for the 2018 Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageant on October 12th-14th, 2017 at the Austin Peay State University Music and Mass Communications Building.
Organized and produced by Greenwood Productions, the upcoming pageant marks Clarksville’s 19th year to host the event.
