Montgomery County, TN – In support of their Rotary International Community Service Project, the three Rotary Clubs of Clarksville provided their first donation of $323,000 for the construction of a specially designed, multi-purpose sports field that will support the county’s special needs athletes, families and support networks.
“We are calling this Community Service Project The Rotary Field of Dreams”, said David Davenport, President of the Sunrise Rotary Club.

Volunteer coaches will work with children to improve individual skills in dribbling, passing, and shooting, while instilling values in teamwork and sportsmanship.
Austin Peay State University assistant professor Vincent completes residency program at Dublin’s Black Church Print Studio
Clarksville, TN – As the final stages of construction on Austin Peay State University’s new Art and Design Building were completed this summer, and with his campus studio unavailable, assistant professor Patrick Vincent had to look elsewhere to apply his printmaking.
“A lot of other disciplines of art can be done with less equipment, but printmaking requires a lot of machinery — some of it very old — and I didn’t have a space this summer, so I guess I had to fly to another country just to get a studio,” Vincent joked.
Gallery Talk on September 16th with Award-Winning Artists at the Customs House Museum
Clarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum will host a gallery talk for its current exhibition Women Painting Women: In Earnest on Saturday, September 16th, 2017.
The exhibit grew from an online blog in 2009, highlighting women artists working in the figurative tradition. Guest speakers at the museum event include co-founder Alia El-Bermani. Her paintings and drawings have been showcased in museums throughout the world.
