Chamber of Commerce Presents 8th Annual Home & Garden Show
Clarksville, TN – On February 25th and 26th, 2017 vendors will fill the Wilma Rudolph Event Center for the 8th Annual Home and Garden Show to share their expertise with home improvement enthusiasts and novices alike.
Professionals will be on hand to help with furniture selection, home décor and design, gardening and landscaping tips, home improvement, budgeting and more. The event will be held inside Liberty Park at 1188 Cumberland Drive.

Clarksville, TN – The “Planters Bank Presents…” film series next movie is one of the most iconic and well-known love stories in cinematic history “Gone With The Wind”. This movie will be shown this Sunday, February 19th, 2017 at the Roxy Regional Theatre at 2:00pm.
Based on the novel by Margaret Mitchell, this classic epic of the American South tells the story of Scarlett O’Hara (Vivien Leigh), the strong-willed daughter of a Georgia plantation owner, from her romantic pursuit of the married Ashley Wilkes (Leslie Howard) to her marriage to Rhett Butler (Clark Gable).

Clarksville, TN – The economic data calendar was thin. December trade figures were roughly in line with expectations. The University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index fell in the mid-February estimate.
Stock market investors were encouraged by the prospect for tax cuts following comments by U.S. President Donald Trump. In contrast, the bond market, recognizing that the process for cutting taxes will be contentious and lengthy, is less fearful of a large boost to the federal budget deficit (hence, bond yields have backed down over the past month).
Austin Peay State University welcomes adventure artist for special lecture February 16th
Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Department of Art and Design, with support from the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, will welcome Steve Snell, adventure artist, to campus for a visiting artist lecture at 7:00pm, Thursday, February 16th, in room 307 of the Morgan University Center.
With support from the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, all Art and Design events are free and open to the public.

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, February 18th Phyllis Smith presents “Period Toy Making” as part of a new educational programming series, Life in the 1800’s at Clarksville’s Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center. The presentation will start at 1:00pm.

Virginia Richardson stars in “The Diary of Anne Frank” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, February 17th – March 4th
Clarksville, TN – For over half a century, her memoir has captured the hearts of millions around the world. Now the Roxy Regional Theatre is bringing to life the inspirational true story of a young girl swept up in the turmoil of the Holocaust in “The Diary of Anne Frank”, opening Friday, February 17th, at 8:00pm.
During the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands, Anne Frank began to keep a diary on June 14th, 1942, two days after her thirteenth birthday and twenty-two days before going into hiding with her mother, father, sister and four others.
Clarksville’s Customs House Museum receives Tennessee Grant for Serepta Jordan Diary project
Serepta Jordan’s writings recorded Clarksville life from 1857-64
Clarksville, TN – A large measure of teamwork is going into the restoration and publication of the diary of Serepta Jordan, who recorded her life in Clarskville from 1857 to 1864 in crisp hardwriting in a repurposed leather-bound ledger book.
The diary is part of the collection of the Clarksville’s Customs House Museum and Cultural Center, which welcomed a $3,000 Archive Development Grant on Thursday delivered by Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett.

Kali Mason, Customs House Curator of Collections, carefully handles pages of the diary of Serepta Jordon as Mayor Kim McMillan, Millie Armstrong, Tenessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett and Customs House Executive Director Jim Zimmer look at the fragile document. Hargett delivered a $3,000 state grant check to the museum Thursday that will be used to continue the restoration of the historic diary.
Montgomery Central Little League to hold registration for 2017 on February 11th, 18th and 25th
Cunningham, TN – The Montgomery Central Little League is holding registration for the 2016 season. Kids ages 4-15 years old can be registered for Baseball and Girls Softball.
Games will be held at the new RichEllen Park located at 1466 Highway 149.

Austin Peay State University Spring 2017 Graduation Gala to be held March 14th-15th
Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Registrar’s Office will be holding its two-day Spring 2017 Graduation Gala this March in order to make the graduation process as smooth as possible.
All APSU students participating in the spring commencement ceremony are encouraged to attend the gala, held from 2:30pm-5:30pm on March 14th, and from 10:00am-2:00pm on March 15th, in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.
