Five Graduating APSU Students to Exhibit Artwork for Design Show

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University Trahern Gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition of new works featuring the graduating seniors focused in graphic design. “Faction” will run from December 1st, 2014 – December 4th, 2014 with closing reception First Thursday, December 4th, 2014 from 5:00pm-8:00pm.

Five designers will be represented in the show: Jana Gilbert, Brittanie Jackson, Alysha Jones, Allison Locher, and Brooke McKee. Graphic design is a booming field with much competition.

This small, but unique group is here to establish its edge amongst the competitors.

The elements of design establish the foundation that brings these artists together, but variety is what separates them into unique factions.

Bringing not only different angles of real world design to the table, this show incorporates printmaking, digital media, and an explosive use of color. Limitation is not in the vocabulary of this group of graduating seniors, and their show proves this fact.

“Faction” will run through December 4th, 2014. The designers will present a closing reception December 4th, 2014 5:00pm-8:00pm. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am-4:00pm.
