APSU students present collaborative project on “Reality of College”
Clarksville, TN – In a unique collaboration between Austin Peay State University students, members of the APSU Social and Political Narrative and Sociology Senior Capstone courses are exploring what it really costs to attend college.
Dubbed “At What Cost? — The Reality of a College Education,” the project represents the work between two groups of highly talented students exploring the high price of an education, and the price people pay financially, emotionally and physically. [Read more]

Christmas with Ausitn Peay State University’s David Steinquest and Friends presents “Jingle Bells” concert
Clarksville, TN – The venue is grand, but the setting will be intimate as Austin Peay State University professor of music David Steinquest presents his fifth annual Christmas concert.
Titled “Jingle Bells,” Steinquest’s concert will take over The George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall at 7:30pm on December 5th, 2014, transforming the venue into a “homey” setting.

APSU’s Maddox-Vinson recognized as early childhood education advocate
Clarksville, TN – Lisa Maddox-Vinson has earned a reputation over the years as a dedicated advocate for educating young children. She currently works as a coordinator with the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance (TECTA) at Austin Peay State University, and she is on the executive board for the Tennessee Association for the Education of Young Children (TAEYC).
Last month, her reputation caught up with her while she was attending the TAEYC State Conference in Chattanooga. At the meeting, Maddox-Vinson was named the association’s 2014 Outstanding Member. She received the most nominations in the history of this award. [Read more]
Five Graduating APSU Students to Exhibit Artwork for Design Show
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University Trahern Gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition of new works featuring the graduating seniors focused in graphic design. “Faction” will run from December 1st, 2014 – December 4th, 2014 with closing reception First Thursday, December 4th, 2014 from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
Five designers will be represented in the show: Jana Gilbert, Brittanie Jackson, Alysha Jones, Allison Locher, and Brooke McKee. Graphic design is a booming field with much competition. [Read more]
