Les Miserables takes place in 19th century France where Jean Valjean breaks parole and is hunted by policeman Javert. Later he agrees to take care of factory worker Fantine’s daughter, Cosette. That decision changes their lives forever.

Dunbar Cave State Park - Clarksville TNClarksville, TNDunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.

Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. There are programs for children and adults.

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Parks & Recreation Department will conduct a Neighborhood Input Workshop on Tuesday, August 27th at 6:30pm regarding the future of Burchwood Park. Burchwood Park is a mini-park located at 2608 Burch Street just off of Fort Campbell Blvd. in North Clarksville and is a park in transition and ready for upgrades.

Park background will be presented, along with discussion about park needs, themes, and other issues affecting the park design and the neighborhood. In addition, a short questionnaire will be distributed to the citizens to obtain priority projects to ultimately develop a Conceptual Master Plan for the Park. [Read more]

Gets Gold Medal, Silver Medal and Two Bronze Medals

The Tennessee Department of AgricultureNashville, TN – Tennessee just made global news for its award winning wines.

Tennessee wineries took home 21 medals from the recent Indy International Wine Competition at Purdue University, one of the nation’s largest wine competitions.

The West Lafayette, Indiana event attracted more than 2,300 wines from 39 states and 14 countries as far away as France, Australia, Chile and Greece. The wines were judged by 44 international experts in a completely blind taste competition based on appearance, aroma, taste and aftertaste.
