Clarksville, TN – The Fall Friends of the Library Book Sale at the Montgomery County Library will be held beginning at 4:00pm on Thursday, October 25th, for members only. You can become a member at the door for only $5.00 for an individual or $10.00 for a family.
This membership is for an entire year and is a super bargain because you can get into every book sale on the first night when the best bargains are available. (Think first editions, best sellers, rare books, your favorite authors—and the list goes on!)
There was a good turn out for the last Friends of the Library book sale.

The Red River Sirens will be taking on Cape Girardeau Roller Girls in our breast cancer awareness theme, on Saturday, October 20th at Magic Wheels, 1671 Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Couture Crush Celebrates Successful First Year in Business

Clarksville, TN – Couture Crush, an independently owned ladies boutique, recently completed the first year of business in October 2012. Located in downtown Clarksville, the specialty retail shop carries a mix of women’s clothing, accessories, jewelry, home accessories, and gifts, appealing to the community’s fashion-conscious.
Owned by Clarksville native and recent Austin Peay State University graduate Kaley Drew, Couture Crush surpassed first year goals and attributed strong local customer response to the better-than-planned sales.

Final showing of the 2012 Movies in the Park series, October 20th
Clarksville, TN – Due to inclement weather, the Movies in the Park event scheduled for September 1st, 2012 at Heritage Park Soccer fields was cancelled and was rescheduled for Saturday, October 20th, 2012.
The event will feature two movies from the 80’s, “The Princess Bride” followed by “The Goonies” – both movies are rated PG.

United States Colored Troops Living History Association Hosts Annual Conference in Clarksville October 19th-21st

Clarksville, TN – If you haven’t been to the Roxy Regional Theatre to see “9 to 5: the Musical,” the real question is why not! Time is running out. Outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic, “9 to 5: The Musical” tells the story of three unlikely friends who, even in a man’s world, prove there’s nothing they can’t do! The musical is based on the 1980’s film, which starred Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin.
The musical stars Bailey Hanks as as the vivacious Doralee Rhodes; Amanda Morgan as Violet Newstead, the department supervisor; Lital Abrahams as housewife turned secretary Judy Bernly; Colin Ryan as everyone’s favorite “Sexist, Egotistical, Lying, Hypocritical Bigot” of a boss, Franklin Hart, Jr.; and Jill Twiss, as his administrative assistant and office spy Roz Keith. They are backed up by an incredible supporting cast.
