The 2012 Riverfest Festival to be held on September 7th and 8th
Clarksville, TN – Join the City of Clarksville, Budweiser, and Agero along the banks of the Cumberland River as they celebrate Clarksville’s river heritage at the 25th annual Riverfest Celebration, September 7th and 8th, 2012. This FREE, two day music and arts festival features four stages of a variety of local, regional and nationally-known entertainers, delicious food, and fun for the entire family.
The music kicks off Friday night at 5:00pm with a great lineup of Christian performers on the Mary’s the Music Store Stage to include MIKESCHAIR who will perform at 9:00pm. Eliminator and Little Queen will take to the Bud Light Stage on Friday night, followed by the ultimate Journey tribute band, Chain Reaction.

Sleep Under the Stars at the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Fall Family Campout
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites you to sleep under the stars at Billy Dunlop Park. Registration is underway for the spring family camp out beginning at 2:00pm Saturday, September 29th, until 9:00am Sunday, September 30th, at the park located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road.

Jazz on the Lawn with Richard Waters and the Blues Boyz
Clarksville, TN – Whenever Beachaven Vineyard and Winery holds one of their Jazz on the Lawn concerts you know you will have a good time. That was the case with Saturday’s Concert Featuring Richard Waters and the Blues Boyz.
It was much cooler than it had been at recent concerts, however some may have been discouraged from attending by the overcast skies which threatened rain, those who did attend had a really great time as they listened to a mixture of Blues, Funk, and Rock from the Nashville based band.
Community School for the Arts’ Adult Choir looking for new members for upcoming season

Clarksville, TN – This fall, the Community School for the Arts’ Adult Choir is looking for new members, regardless of their profession or musical background.
“We’ve had area elementary teachers, area high school teachers, Austin Peay faculty, Austin Peay staff, Austin Peay alumni,” Dr. Nell Rayburn, chair of the Austin Peay State University Department of Mathematics and Statistics, said. “We have people who work for the city of Clarksville. Customs House Museum’s Crouch Gallery Full of Inspiration
Clarksville, TN – Tennessee’s Cumberland Furniture Guild debuts its juried theme show in the Crouch Gallery of the Customs House Museum on August 9th. The exhibit, entitled Inspirations & Origins, showcases hand-crafted works including both traditional and whimsical. Artisans’ muses will accompany each piece.
Clarksville Christian School Adds School Counselor
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Christian School is pleased to announce the addition of a school guidance counselor, Mrs. Yvette Childs. Mrs. Childs received her Bachelor of Science degree in Middle School Education and her Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling from Murray State University.
She has nine years experience as an educator, including five years as a teacher in the middle grades, and four years as a middle school counselor with the Clarksville Montgomery County School System.
