Clarksville High School to host Regional Colorguard Competition
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville High School Wildcat Band Boosters will be hosting a regional circuit show for the Winter Guard International Southeastern Colorguard Circuit on Saturday, March 24th, 2012 in the main gym at Clarksville High, located at 151Richview Road in Clarksville, TN. You are invited to come see Sixty-five groups from a four state region competing throughout the event. The contest will begin at 9:30am and conclude at 9:00pm. Admission for the entire day is just $7.00 per person.
Winter Guard International (WGI) is known as the “Sport of the Arts.” It brings music to life through performance in a competitive format. WGI is the nonprofit youth organization leading the winter guard and indoor percussion activities. Now entering its 32nd year, the sport is evolving and growing, with over 11,000 participants at the Sport of the Arts World Championships.
Clarksville High School has sponsored a Winter Guard unit since 2002, and a Winter Drumline from 2005.
