Montgomery County, TN – Kindergarten roundups in CMCSS give parents and guardians the opportunity to learn more about the kindergarten experience as their children begin their academic journey.

“Pay it Forward” service project to come to Fort Defiance

4th BCT Soldiers to Represent 101st Airborne Division at Memorial for Famed Commander
Fort Campbell, KY – Two Fort Campbell Soldiers will represent the 506th Infantry Regiment and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at a memorial ceremony honoring the late Richard “Dick” Winters, March 19th, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Home Repair Applications now being accepted by Housing and Community Development
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Office of Housing and Community Development is accepting applications for minor home repair for low- to moderate-income homeowners.
Various repairs and projects, primarily exterior renovation, are offered at no cost to qualifying homeowners. Projects range from roof repairs and painting to constructing handicap-accessible ramps and landscaping. Elderly and disabled homeowners are encouraged to apply.
Kleeman Community Center to host Senior Prom
Clarksville, TN – The Kleeman Community Center is hosting the Quick Silver Social of the season. The Senior Prom will be held March 19th at 5:00pm at the Kleeman Community Center. Suggested attire for the Senior Prom is “after 5.”
This event is free of charge and open to those ages 50 and up. The Kleeman Community Center is located at 166 Cunningham Lane.

An Introducton to Special Forces Class
Fort Campbell, KY – On Monday April 4th, 2011 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm there will be an introduction to Special Forces class at the Family Resource Center (inside Gate 1). Learn about the history and capabilities of Special Forces, how to separate fact from fiction, plus a spouse panel!
This class is free and open to all Soldiers, spouses, other family members, civilians, friends and anyone else who is interested in learning about Special Forces.

Clarksville City Departments to switch Phone Systems
Clarksville, TN – The primary telephone numbers for the city’s Building and Codes Department and the Parks and Recreation Department will be switched to a new system Wednesday morning, which could temporarily cause calls to not be completed to those departments.
Technicians from Information Systems will start the switch at 9:30am on Wednesday. In the past, such changeovers have taken less than 10 minutes, but the process might require as much as 30 minutes. Also some numbers for the Police Department’s Professional Integrity Unit and Domestic Violence units
Residents should be aware that calls to these two departments may not reach their destination on Wednesday morning, and they should continue trying until their calls are answered.
