New Exhibit Comes to APSU’s TERMINAL Online Art Gallery

October 19, 2010 | Print This Post

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – In the physical world of art galleries and studios, Jody Zellen’s groundbreaking new exhibit “Lines of Life” doesn’t exist. There’s no building a person can enter to experience the Los Angeles-based artist’s commentary on the perils of war and its domination of the media over the years.

Much of that imagery has floated through the cyber world, monopolizing the thousands of news websites that populate the Web. So what better place for Zellen, a net artist, to exhibit her work than in the online world. On October 25th, “Lines of Life” will open to the world on the website TERMINALapsu.org, a space sponsored by Austin Peay State University’s Department of Art and the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts to showcase and examine Internet and new media art. Controlling insulin production is key to weight loss

Small steps towards losing weight

Small steps towards losing weight

Insulin is secreted at higher than normal amounts if you consume lots of wheat, grains, and processed foods(all which contain glutens). The pancreas secretes insulin which can irritate your blood vessel lining and can lead to coronary artery disease and atherosclerosis. For most Americans it is all about the insulin.

Genes are not the cause of obesity, insulin is. When you have high insulin levels, you have a much harder time losing weight. When you do not exercise, your insulin level rise. High insulin levels mean that you will have a greater risk of degenerative diseases, heart disease, coronary artery disease, and obesity. It is simply your diet- processed foods, grains, sugar as well as lack of exercise. These things make your cells less receptive to insulin. The blood sugar rises and your pancreas secretes more insulin. [Read more]

A Devotional By Brother Shepherd

SatanA few years back, 1987, I was on a crusade trip to the Philippines. I was preaching on an island off of the coast of the South Philippines, the island is called the island of Samali. It was a very remote setting. There was no electricity, except for a generator that they ran every night until our crusade was over.

I was there for about a week and I experienced a cultural attack. I was about to have a fit for a cheese burger because I had been eating fish, rice, and other stuff I didn’t even know what it was and I had a panic attack as if I must have a cheeseburger. The next morning I hired a boat and went across the bay to Davao Bay. After searching, I found a café that had cheeseburger on its menu. [Read more]
