Representatives from Florim USA, a Clarksville-based manufacturer of Italian-designed porcelain tiles, visited Austin Peay State University recently to present scholarships to three deserving students.

Giancarlo Adani, Florim USA vice president of operations, awarded a computer science scholarship to Aaron Taylor, a marketing scholarship to Emmanuel Heath and a chemistry scholarship to Cody Covington.

APSU President Tim Hall was present for the award presentation, as were Tim Swaw, Florim USA director of human relations, and Teresa Carioti, Florim USA translator. Dr. Bruce Myers, chair of the department of computer science and information technology, Dr. Carmen Reagan, interim dean of the College of Business, and Dr. Robin Reed, chair of the department of chemistry, were also in attendance.

Every year, Florim USA officials donate scholarships to the University as a way of helping local students afford an education. For more information, contact Cissy Mandrell, development officer with APSU’s Advancement Office, at (931) 221-6347 or mandrellc@apsu.edu.
