Fifty local youth, ages 8 to 18, from the Roxy Regional School of the Arts present the beloved award-winning musical “Annie, Jr.” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, May 18th through June 9th, 2018.

Mikquala Skelton stars as little orphan Annie, who is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan, a role shared by Jesse Boyle and Rebecca Morrison.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – After receiving his doctorate from Mississippi State University in 1992, Austin Peay State University Professor of Finance Dr. Michael Phillips found himself in the right place at the right time for an opportunity that would change both his life and a department interested in a fresh perspective.

A California native, Phillips was prepared to look west for a teaching opportunity when a friend suggested Austin Peay contact him for an open teaching position in the College of Business.

Austin Peay State University Professor of Finance, Dr. Michael Phillips received the AJ Taylor Distinguished Professorship. This is awarded to a College of Business faculty member each year who has demonstrated exceptional scholarly work or innovative teaching practices.

Thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking donkey to rescue a feisty princess.

The Roxy Regional School of the Arts presents an irreverently fun adventure for the entire family with “SHREK the Musical JR.” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, May 20th through June 11th.

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and the book by William Steig, “SHREK The Musical JR.” is directed and choreographed by Tom Thayer, with additional choreography by Emily Rourke and music direction by Lacey Connell.

After nine years of delivering countless “Bah Humbugs” upon the Roxy Regional Theatre stage, John McDonald will hang up his hat as the miserly businessman Ebenezer Scrooge with this year’s production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmsa Carol”, opening December 9th.

Under the direction of Tom Thayer, Dickens’ classic tale of Christmases Past, Present and Future meets such holiday standards as “Deck the Halls,” “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “What Child Is This,” “I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In” and more, performed to the music of acoustic instrumentalists Red River Breeze.

APSU students place first in TVA Investment Challenge

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – If you’re looking for someone to manage your investments, the Tennessee Valley Authority would probably recommend you pick a graduate of the Austin Peay State University College of Business.

Every year, the government owned utility hosts its Investment Challenge, which has student investment teams from 25 universities competing to manage and earn the highest return for TVA funds. During the competition, students develop long-term investment strategies, place trades and provide performance reports to TVA.
