Clarksville, TN – A team from’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics recently won the Math Jeopardy Championship at a competition held during the 2017 Southeastern Section meeting of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). The APSU team defeated 26 other teams from colleges and universities in the Southeast.
Austin Peay fielded two teams, mentored by Dr. Nicholas Kirby, assistant professor of mathematics, and Dr. Ben Ntatin, professor of mathematics.

Clarksville, TN – TheTrahern Gallery, with support from the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and the APSU Department of Art and Design, is sharing the work of artist Britney Jo Carroll with the Clarksville community through October 16th.
Carroll uses mixed-media installations to examine her struggles with the expressive and oppressive traditions within gender roles. In her work, she analyzes herself and encourages viewers to examine his or her unspoken fears and desires. [Read more]
Austin Peay State University’s Hannah Johstono wins Miss College Majorette of Tennessee, heads to Nationals

Clarksville, TN –featured twirler Hannah Johstono has demonstrated her talent and skill with a baton in front of crowds both large and small during her 14 years of twirling.
A regular with the Governor’s Own Marching Band for the past four seasons, Johstono has captivated everyone from APSU fans gathered in Governor Stadium’s Tailgate Alley to 100,000 fans at Neyland Stadium as the Governors took on the University of Tennessee Volunteers.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council announces Cal Wray as New Executive Director

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County, Tennessee Economic Development Council (EDC) Executive Board is excited to announce they have received commitment from Cal Wray, 35, of Dublin, GA, to assume the reins as the Executive Director.
The EDC was established in 1996, and currently promotes economic growth and development of Clarksville-Montgomery County.
