Montgomery County, TN – The latest business to celebrate their Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification is Budweiser of Clarksville, owned by the Hand family of Clarksville.
Charles Hand, Chairman of the Board of Hand Family Companies, has a history of taking care of the environment. For decades, Hand has been doing his part to keep our community clean. His actions carried over to his family businesses when the Company began participating in the Adopt-A-Highway Program in the early 1990s, and the efforts have been growing ever since.

Clarksville, TN – Hand Family Companies (“Hand”), a family-owned beer distributor based in Tennessee, today announced it has reached an agreement to acquire Anheuser-Busch’s 30-percent interest in CITY Beverage–Illinois LLC (“CITY”) and partner alongside BDT Capital Partners (“BDT”) in its acquisition of 100-percent of River North Sales and Service LLC (“River North”) in two separate transactions, creating the largest distributor in Illinois and the Chicago metropolitan area market selling approximately 23.5 million annual case equivalents.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Clarksville, TN – An Austin Peay State University history professor, whose expertise is in colonial and revolutionary America, will be the next presenter of the Provost Lecture Series at APSU.
Dr. Kristofer Ray, associate professor of history, will present at 3:00pm, Thursday, March 21st in the Morgan University Center, Room 303. All sessions of the Provost Lecture Series are free and open to the public.

His most recent experience was as principal at Somonauk High School in Illinois, where he has served for the past three years.
Sesame Street and USO Experience for Military Families USO tour

Fort Campbell, KY – On April 14th and 15th, the Sesame Street and USO Experience for Military Families USO tour put on three free performances for Fort Campbell families active duty, Retirees, National Guard, reserves and Department of Defense Civilians. Over 1,800 people came out to watch the shows.
The 30 minute performance was a special event for the military community since it is specifically designed to educate children about coping with military deployments and homecomings.
