Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade to be held November 11th

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 11th, 2023, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville. The keynote speaker is Air Force Master Sergeant (Ret) Joe Thomas, Jr.
This year’s Veterans Day Parade theme is “Salute to Veterans in Law Enforcement.”
“The Veterans Day Parade allows the community to come together and thank our military veterans for their service and sacrifice. I hope to see our community come out to support some of our local heroes,” said Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden.

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville.
The keynote speaker is Army Command Sergeant Major (Ret) Richard A. Woodring, a combat veteran who deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, and Kosovo and has served in various assignments throughout the United States, including Washington, D.C. Woodring has a broad range of leadership experience and a litany of awards and decorations for his service to the country.

Clarksville, TN – Perfect weather brought thousands to the streets of downtown for this year’s Veterans Day Parade in Clarksville.
Hundreds were gathered outside the courthouse for a pre-parade program that began at 9:00am, at which Colonel Vernon Lightner US Army (Retired), was this year’s Guest Speaker. Lightner is currently the Director of Army Instruction for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.
Joining him at the podium was Andrew Kester, Director of the Montgomery County Veterans Services Organization, Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, and Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade joins with APSU Homecoming Parade for one spectacular event

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s 2019 Veterans Day Parade was even bigger than usual as it was merged with the Austin Peay State University (APSU) annual Homecoming Parade, an occurrence that happens once every five years.
Thousands, who gathered on the streets of Downtown Clarksville Saturday morning to celebrate, were treated to approximately 150 parade entries, ranging from APSU’s Homecoming Court to Veterans groups, First Responders, marching band and more.

Montgomery County, TN – Dozens of entries in Clarksville-Montgomery County’s annual Veterans Day Parade made their way through the streets of downtown Saturday, as hundreds lined up along the route to show respect and appreciation for our community’s veterans.
A pre-parade presentation on the steps of the courthouse featured speeches by Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, and Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, as well as the keynote speech by this year’s Parade Grand Marshall CW3 John Clement, U.S. Army Ret.
