Fun Times at Rivers and Spires Festival

Clarksville Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – What’s not to like about a free festival in the streets and venues of downtown Clarksville? Rivers and Spires Festival 2016 was all that and more with something for everyone.

You could eat everything from funnel cakes to corn dogs to fried Snickers at the street vendors’ wagons. You could hear all kinds of music from children’s choirs to rock bands. You could watch dancing from places like Hawaii and Panama or see youngsters just learning to dress up and boogie!

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The weather was absolutely perfect Friday, April 15th for the Rivers and Spires Festival. It was warm, but not too warm with a slight wind, clear sky, perfect. Put that with plenty of food, great vendors, activities and some amazing entertainers and you had one heck of a good time going on in Downtown Clarksville.

Rivers and Spires truly has something for everyone, little, small, young and old alike. There were plenty of things to do like the laser tag area, face painting, the sports zone and the family fun zone.

3rd Annual Pit Bull Awareness Day set for Sunday, October 25th

Pit Bull Awareness DayClarksville, TN – On Sunday, October 25th from 1:00pm-4:30pm, the 3rd Annual Pit Bull Awareness Day will be held at Pet Food Center located at 2243 Lowes Drive, Clarksville, TN.

This event is held to bring awareness about the misconception of bully breeds and raise funds specifically earmarked to provide free or greatly reduced cost spay/neuter surgeries to owners of bully breeds and mixes in an effort to reduce euthanasia and increase adoptions of pit bulls in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation kicked off Warrior Week with Backroad Brigade, Little Texas Concert Friday night

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Warrior Week started Friday night, May 8th, with a free concert at Liberty Park. The event was in honor of all military personnel and their families.

There was plenty of food and drink like hotdogs, Mexican food, sodas and lemonade for purchase.

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The 13th annual Rivers and Spires Festival concluded Saturday, April 18th with beautiful weather, great music, wonderful food and entertainment for everyone.

Speaking of food, there were freshly dipped corn dogs, kettle corn, funnel cakes, hotdogs, brats, gyros along with plenty of iced tea and lemonade. The gyros was particularly good. Everything was reasonably priced.

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – On Saturday, April 26th, at 1:30pm, the Backroad Brigade took the Courthouse Stage at the 2014 Rivers and Spires Festival playing in front of a large audience.

I first noticed the band, while I was walking up Franklin Street. I heard their music coming from down North Second street, rock and roll with a blues kind of edge.

Clarksville's Riverfest 2013Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Riverfest begins this weekend Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th, 2013. This two day festival runs Friday from 5:00pm to 11:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 11:00pm.

On, Friday, Christian recording group Sidewalk Prophets will be performing at 9:00pm on the First Baptist Church Stage.

Johnny T will be performing on the Gateway Realty Stage at 9:30pm Saturday. Country recording artist Phil Vassar will take the stage at 9:00pm as the headlining performer on the Miller Stage on Saturday. [Read more]
