Clarksville, TN – Whenstudent Cassidy Graves graduates in May with a bachelor’s degree in communication, she will quickly be trading in her monocle for mouse ears.
That’s because in June, Graves is set to relocate to Florida, where she will join Disney as a full-time, professional intern with the House of Mouse’s Talent Acquisition Communications team.

Clarksville, TN – Active duty military and veteran students graduating fromin December will be honored with an APSU military coin and a special cord to wear with their commencement regalia.
The military and veteran graduate recognition and coin presentation ceremony, with the theme “All Hail to Those Who Serve,” is scheduled for 5:00pm, Wednesday, December 7th in the Mabry Concert Hall, located inside the Music/Mass Communication Building on the University campus. The event is open to the public.

The presentation, which is free and open to the public, is part of the University Photographers’ Association of America’s 2016 Annual Technical Symposium, hosted this year by APSU’s Office of Public Relations and Marketing from June 13th-17th.

Austin Peay to hold Free Photo Shoot by Professional Photographers for Military-Affiliated Individuals, Families

Clarksville, TN – On June 15th, a group of professional university photographers will take over theRed Barn and convert the building’s old basketball court into a temporary photo studio.
From 2:00pm-5:00pm that afternoon, these photographers—known for creating official and iconic images for institutions across the country like the University of Wisconsin, Baylor University and Wake Forest University —will take free portraits of any local individual with a direct military connection—including active duty soldiers, veterans and their families.

TCPRA – an alliance of communicators across the state representing public and private colleges and universities, technical schools, technology centers and community colleges – awarded gold, silver and bronze distinctions in various writing, design, publication and photography categories. Michele Tyndall, project manager in the APSU Office of Public Relations and Marketing, and Dr. Melony Shemberger, former assistant director of communication at APSU, will present a session at The Council for Advancement and Support Education’s District III Conference in Orlando, FL, this February.
