APSU’s Steinberg offers free online course on emotional toughness

Clarksville, TN – As a young man, Dr. Gregg Steinberg came within five heartbreaking inches of qualifying for the U.S. Amateur Golf Tournament at Pebble Beach.
Had he hit the 10-foot putt on the 18th green just a little harder, capping one of the best rounds of golf in his life, he might have gone on to become one of the legends of the sport.

Dual enrollment class at APSU to give high school students taste of medical school

Clarksville, TN – In the spring of 2016, some of the area’s brightest high school students—including public school, private school and home-schooled students—will have an opportunity to take a rigorous dual enrollment class at Austin Peay State University to see if they have what it takes to survive in the medical profession.
The class, Human Anatomy & Physiology, will be offered from January 19th – April 27th through APSU’s Center for Extended and Distance Education, with Clarksville orthopedic surgeon Dr. Cooper Beazley leading the class.
APSU Center for Extended Education and Distance Education to host Tennessee Business Tax Seminar

Clarksville, TN – In cooperation with the Tennessee Department of Revenue, Austin Peay State University’s Center for Extended and Distance Education will again host the annual Tennessee Business Tax seminar from 8:00am-5:30pm, Tuesday, July 28th in the Morgan University Center.
Representatives from the Tennessee Department of Revenue, the Tennessee Division of Workers’ Compensation, the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury will facilitate sessions related to business taxes.
APSU offers new online medical writing course

APSU’s English as Second Language Institute announces Spring Registration

Clarksville, TN – Language should not be a barrier for those needing to communicate in English as a second language.
Those needing to improve their English language skills are encouraged to register for six-week sessions at the English as Second Language (ESL) Institute at Austin Peay State University. Classes begin February 16th, with Wednesday mornings, Thursday evenings or Saturday mornings available. Registration ends February 13th. [Read more]
