Austin Peay State University spotlights student community service at High Impact Practices Showcase

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Center for Service-Learning and Community Engagement, in association with the departments of Career Services and International Education and the Office of Undergraduate Research, held a High Impact Practices (H.I.P.) Showcase on November 30th, highlighting the work of University students and professors in applying learning to real-world scenarios over the past year.
Over 150 people attended the event, which saw 30 students present their experiences in high impact practices.
Seminar to Provide Insights and Tips on Japanese Business Customs

APSU’s revamped career services connecting students and alumni with employers

Clarksville, TN – For years, the Austin Peay State University Career Services Office was seen as little more than a resume critiquing service. Students would occasionally stop by the small rooms inside the Morgan University Center to hear that pink paper and a Comic Sans font didn’t help with their job prospects.
The office’s small staff and operating budget didn’t leave it much room for anything else.
Austin Peay State University only school in state committed to federal vet success plan

Clarksville, TN – In August 2013, the federal government developed the “8 Keys to Veterans’ Success” initiative to help veterans succeed on college campuses.
Austin Peay State University, which has a long history of supporting veterans and military personnel, immediately endorsed the program, and one year later, APSU remains the only school in Tennessee committed to implementing the veteran-friendly practices on its campus.
