Movies in the Park to return June 13th

Clarksville, TN – Are you missing the movie theater? Looking for a safe way to get out of the house for some quality family time? The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the return of Movies in the Park presented by Kyrstin Frate with Keller Williams.
The first event will be the movie Black Panther on Saturday, June 13th, 2020 at the Liberty Park Athletic Field, near the playground. The movie will begin at sunset, which is around 8:00pm.
Altra Foundation awards Scholarships to 17 High School Seniors

Clarksville, TN – Graduations and other award ceremonies may have looked different this year, but the Altra Foundation was still excited to award 17 High School Seniors with $1,000 scholarships for 2020.
The Altra Foundation Community Service Scholarship is awarded to those that have demonstrated a history of community service to help build a stronger community.
Altra Federal Credit Union to hold Home Buying After Hours, March 10th

Altra Federal Credit Union to receive visit from Santa, December 20th

Clarksville, TN – Santa will be stopping by Altra Federal Credit Union, located at 2625 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville, on Friday, December 20th, 2019 from 3:00pm-5:00pm, giving parents and grandparents the opportunity to take photos with him! The event is free.
Santa will also be handing out a special gift to families, while supplies last.

Mark and Ricki Holleman proudly present “A Christmas Carol: The Musical” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, opening Thursday, November 28th, at 7:00pm.
In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular price will go on sale at 6:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation. Due to the double casting of children in the production, a second pay-what-you-can night will be held at 7:30pm on Friday, November 29th.
Clarksville Park and Recreation’s Fright on Franklin provides Halloween Family Fun

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s annual Fright on Franklin was a huge success, with thousands coming out to enjoy great weather, cute costumes and seemingly endless buckets of candy.
This year’s activities were rescheduled for Sunday, which turned out to be a great move, as areas of Clarksville were devastated by strong winds that moved through Montgomery County Saturday afternoon.
About 70 tents were lined up along Franklin Street, Public Square, First Street and Strawberry Alley, from which costumed volunteers from local businesses and organizations handed out treats from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
Altra Federal Credit Union will hold 2nd Annual Give Back Day October 14th

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Fright on Franklin set for October 26th

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation has partnered with Altra Federal Credit Union for the 11th annual Fright on Franklin from 3:00pm-6:00pm Saturday, October 26th, 2019 in Downtown Clarksville.
Fright on Franklin is a free, family-friendly event featuring safe trick-or-treating, a hayride, costume contests, and more in historic downtown Clarksville. Follow the screams (of delight) to an afternoon and evening of fun Halloween-themed activities.
A costume contest will be staged at the City Hall/US Bank parking lot. Prizes will be awarded for “Best Costume” in each age group and “Best Group.” Pre-registration is required online at www.ClarksvilleParksRec.com through October 25th. The contest is free to enter.
Clarksville’s Movies in the Park features “Ready Player One” at Liberty Park, Saturday

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, August 17th, 2019, Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Movies in the Park, a free, outdoor movie series, will show “Ready Player One” at Liberty Park.
Pre-show activities, coordinated by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department, will begin at 5:30pm and include a video game trailer equipped with XBox 360, XBox One and Wii stations, provided by U Jumpin’ Foulks. Take a virtual tour or ride a virtual roller coaster courtesy of Austin Peay State University’s GIS Center.

Pre-show activities, coordinated by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department, will begin at 4:00pm and include a Grinch-themed photo booth, local artisan vendors, making snow using polymers with Austin Peay State University (APSU) scientists and a special performance by Acro Dance Express.
