It recently was opened in April of 2011. If you have not had the opportunity to visit there as yet, we encourage you to do so. It is truly an impressive facility.<\/p>\n<p>The Civil War Ball will be held on January 14th from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_24691\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_8153.JPG\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24691\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-24691\" title=\"The Friends of Fort Defiance Civil War Ball\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/IMG_8153-480x320.jpg\" alt=\"The Friends of Fort Defiance Civil War Ball\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-24691\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Friends of Fort Defiance Civil War Ball<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more-->We are a 501(c)3 organization and proceeds from the ball will go to support the Fort Defiance park.<\/p>\n<p>There is a dinner with either baked chicken or ham as a meat and sides, then dancing to the sound of Red River Breeze.<\/p>\n<p>Semi-formal dress is allowed this year for the ball, so don&#8217;t let lack of appropriate period dress discourage you from purchasing tickets.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Civil-War-Ball-2012.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-102782 alignleft\" title=\"The Civil War ball\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Civil-War-Ball-2012-145x200.jpg\" alt=\"The Civil War ball\" width=\"145\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>The Civil War ball is a night of dinner and dancing presented by Friends of Fort Defiance and the Clarksville Montgomery County Civil War Sesquicentennial Committee. The Ball will be held Saturday, January 14th, 2012 at 6:00pm at the Emmanuel Center located at 303 Fairview Lane, Clarksville, TN.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $35.00 per person.
