Before joining the Mayor\u2019s office, he held several positions with Cumberland Bank &amp; Trust and was also the owner of Mary\u2019s Music. In 2008, Charlie received the Citizen of the Year Award from the City of Clarksville.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not at all surprised that Charlie was selected by his peers to lead this year\u2019s Leadership Middle Tennessee class,\u201d said Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan. \u201cHe has been a dedicated leader his entire life, even before he was a member of the Austin Peay Student Government. Charlie understands the importance of building relationships with leaders in our region and sharing ideas for Clarksville\u2019s continued growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leadership Middle Tennessee seeks to inform and develop regional-based leadership through networking, collaboration and strategic thinking. Leaders from Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Maury, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson counties attend ten sessions addressing current issues in the area\u2019s development. The group will be in Clarksville on November 16th and 17th to discuss education and workforce development.<\/p>\n<h3>About Leadership Middle Tennessee<\/h3>\n<p>Leadership Middle Tennessee, a regional leadership institute, was founded in 1999 as a result of the Regional Partnerships initiative of Partnership 2000.
