The grant was provided through the privately funded Aspire Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Aspire Foundation has advocated for the adoption of the STEM curriculum throughout the school system,\u201d said Strange. \u201cOur goal is to promote STEM and the specialized opportunities that it presents for gifted and advanced students.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Aspire Foundation investment reinforces our commitment to STEM and hope that it will inspire others to contribute as well,\u201d stated Chavez.<\/p>\n<p>The STEM program is an intensive, four-year program of study in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The program provides opportunities for students to be on the cutting edge of education and competitive in math and science based careers. The Aspire resources will be used to purchase equipment related to engineering and science for the STEM Academy at Kenwood High School, which is open to students throughout the county.<\/p>\n<h3>About the Aspire Foundation<\/h3>\n<p>Founded in 1996, the Aspire Foundation is an economic development and community marketing initiative for Clarksville-Montgomery County backed by over 60 investors.
