Camilleri and Dr. Jack Deibert, both professors of geology and geography, and Sue Breeden, analyst in the GIS Center, will present their research, titled \u201cPreliminary Geologic Mapping and Quaternary Faulting of the Western Margin of the Grant Range, East-Central Nevada,\u201d at the 2011 Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of America, October 9th-12th in Minneapolis, MN.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Daniel Frederick<\/strong>, professor of geology and geography, will present his research, titled \u201c Trilobite Fauna of the Brownsport Formation (Upper Silurian) West Tennessee,\u201d at the 2011 Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of America, October 9th-12th in Minneapolis, MN.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Marsha Lyle-Gonga<\/strong>, assistant professor of political science, submitted a paper, titled \u201cTeaching an Online Women and Politics Course,\u201d to the American Political Science Association (APSA) Short Course Teaching Gender and Politics: Views from the Field, which was accepted by a peer-reviewed panel for presentation at the Short Course held at the American Political Science Association Conference from August 31st-September 5th in Seattle, WA. The paper described the importance of teaching a Women and Politics course online and the engagement tools used to create an innovative environment for student learning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Sergi Markov<\/strong>, associate professor of biological science, recently had four articles on topics such as hydrogen economy and biomass conversion published in The Encyclopedia of Environmental Issues. The four-volume encyclopedia assembles information from numerous fields of knowledge relevant to the study of environmental issues, including biology, geology, anthropology, demographics, genetics and engineering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joe Mills<\/strong>, assistant vice president of student affairs and director of housing, has been invited to make a presentation at the national ACUHO I\/APPA Facilities Conference on October 5th in Orlando, FL.
