The list was broken into various categories such as Banking &amp; Finance, Education, and Government\/Politics, in addition to Media, Music, Sports and Technology.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The magazine noted McMillan\u2019s prior experience as the first woman elected majority leader of the Tennessee House of Representatives and senior advisor to former Gov. Phil Bredesen. McMillan attended a special reception for the honorees on Monday, March 21st, at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville.<\/p>\n<p>Under Banking &amp; Finance, two local business leaders are featured \u2013 Jack Turner, owner of Jack B. Turner &amp; Associates, and Sammy Stuard, president and CEO of F&amp;M Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Turner is noted as \u201cClarksville\u2019s most decorated businessman, and its most generous philanthropist.\u201d His position as a civilian aide to the Secretary of the Army is also mentions, as well as his fundraising efforts for the $25 million Wings of Liberty Museum at Fort Campbell.<\/p>\n<p>The magazine credits Stuard with growing F&amp;M \u201cbank assets of approximately $20 million to more than $800 million, with 15 offices and four mortgage loan offices located throughout Middle Tennessee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also listed under the Government \/Politics banner with McMillan is James Chavez, president and CEO of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council. The publication noted that he has \u201chelped bring about a change in the perception of Clarksville \u2013 often mislabeled as a distant Nashville neighbor.\u201d It also credits his tenure with helping land Hemlock Semiconductor\u2019s $1.2 billion solar cell material manufacturing facility.<\/p>\n<p>Austin Peay State University President Tim Hall is listed under the Education category, which distinguishes him as leading the state\u2019s fastest-growing university. \u201cUnder Hall, APSU has launched a novel new curriculum in concert with Hemlock Semiconductor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nashvillepost.com\/\" >www.nashvillepost.com<\/a>, for more information.
