The awards will celebrate the efforts of volunteers who strive to improve their communities through service.<\/p>\n<p>One youth and one adult will be selected in Montgomery County to receive this prestigious award. Nominees will be judged based on the community\u2019s needs of the volunteer service performed, initiative taken to perform the service, creativity used to solve a community problem and impact of the volunteer service on the community.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Nomination forms are available at the County Mayor\u2019s Office, the Public Library, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Board of Education and online at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.montgomerycountytn.org\/\" >www.montgomerycountytn.org<\/a>. Applications must be received by the County Mayor\u2019s Office by September 17th, 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Recipients of the Montgomery County volunteer awards will be honored at the Governor\u2019s Volunteer Stars ceremony in Nashville in November. For more information call Elizabeth Black at 931-648-8482.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteer Tennessee is coordinating the Governor\u2019s Volunteer Stars Awards at the state level.
