Rep. Joe Pitts (D-Clarksville), Rep. Curtis Johnson (R-Clarksville), Rep. Phillip Johnson (R-Pegram) and Sen. Tim Barnes (D-Clarksville) worked with Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers and the Montgomery County Commission\u2019s Legislative Liaison committee, chaired by Commissioner Mark Banasiak, to secure the funds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an example of everyone being in the same harness, pulling together for a project that will have significant impact for our citizens,\u201d said Pitts. \u201cThe new exhibit will strengthen an already popular attraction in our state and add educational value for students across the region.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The intent of the funding is to develop educational elements that show visitors what makes Dunbar Cave a special place. The elements would interpret not only the natural area aspects of the cave but also the historic and prehistoric human uses of the site.
