The money raised from this sale will go into funding future development of the Riverwalk area.<\/p>\n<p>Future Project Phases will encompass developing enhanced parking facilities, further development of the Great Lawn, a Pavilion, Fort Clark Plaza, Fishing Piers and Picnic Shelters, and a pedestrian bridge across the Red River to Fort Defiance connecting to .85 miles of new walking trails and an Interpretive Center, this also has potential to connect up in the future with the Clarksville Greenway.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2999\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.discoverclarksville.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_7599.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2999\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-2999\" title=\"Tonya Vaden and Clarksville Parks and Recreation Director Mark Tummons\" src=\"http:\/\/www.discoverclarksville.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_7599-200x133.jpg\" alt=\"Tonya Vaden and Clarksville Parks and Recreation Director Mark Tummons\" width=\"200\" height=\"133\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.discoverclarksville.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_7599-200x133.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.discoverclarksville.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_7599-480x320.jpg 480w, https:\/\/www.discoverclarksville.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_7599.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2999\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tonya Vaden and Clarksville Parks and Recreation Director Mark Tummons<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Project Manager, Daniel Binkley sees \u201cthis project as a stepping stone to many more great opportunities for quality of life initiatives for the City in the future.\u201d He is not alone in this view, Parks &amp; Recreation Director Mark Tummons sees this new addition when completed enhancing the recreational opportunities available to city residents. \u201c(It) provides additional opportunities for larger special events- like our upcoming Independence Day Celebration and Riverfest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lyle Cook Martin Architects, working with Hodgson and Douglas Landscape Architects and DBS Engineering designed the project with Lane Lyle of Lyle Cook Martin was the Architect of Record overseeing the project.
