(APSU)<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s only one in a string of successes Turner \u2013 who graduated from Austin Peay State University in 2019 and is in his second year as a grad student at Columbia University \u2013 has had recently.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this summer, Turner\u2019s work appeared in an InStyle magazine photo shoot of famed singer and actress Zendaya (you can see the photo <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bibbygregory\/status\/1291348836884140032\/photo\/4\" >here<\/a>). Zendaya used Black artists and designers for her clothing and decorations in the shoot.<\/p>\n<p>Turner also has art featured on The Roots member Black Thought\u2019s latest EP \u201cStreams of Thought Vol. 3: Cane and Abel.\u201d You can see that art <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/hip-hop\/9413941\/black-thought-streams-of-thought-vol-3-tracklist\" >here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His work also appeared on the cover of APSU\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/zone3press.com\/issues\/current_issue\" >Zone 3 literary journal spring cover<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Turner also announced a solo art show on October 5th at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nostudios.com\/\" >N\u014d Studios<\/a> in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has several other national shows scheduled through the fall.<\/p>\n<p>During September 14th\u2019s Hulu appearance, he guided viewers through his process of painting Black people, including his inclusion of various types of water (such as sea, river and lake water) from notable locations (such as the tip of Manhattan) in the painting.<\/p>\n<p>Turner started on a painting in which he used abstraction inspired by the work of artist Keith Knight.
