\"AustinClarksville, TN<\/strong> – Austin Peay State University (APSU) alumni Corey Finley, who graduated with a bachelor\u2019s degree in acting this spring, has landed a highly sought one-year acting internship at Actors Express in Atlanta.<\/p>\n

The news propels Finley toward his goal of becoming a film actor in movies and TV shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am truly excited about this opportunity,\u201d he said. \u201cIt has been such a blessing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finley hopes to learn as much as possible while working in the theatre company where he will strive to meet \u201clots of people and network my way up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAustin Peay State University prepared me for the underlying fact that this industry is hard, but I have learned to keep my head up and strive for more,\u201d Finley said. \u201cThank you to everyone who has been there and pushed me toward greatness.\u201d <\/p>\n

The internship begins August 24th. <\/p>\n

Actors Express is one of Atlanta\u2019s leading theaters and is helmed by Freddie Ashley, who served as APSU\u2019s Roy Acuff Chair of Excellence and directed John Patrick Shanley\u2019s world debut of \u201cFive Savory Dishes\u201d at Austin Peay last fall. <\/p>\n
