(APSU)<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The green held a gentle presence, though, compared to the orange splashes in the photo \u2013 her Chucks, earrings, scarf and sunglasses all screamed bright orange.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love art and creativity, so I try to bring that into my life,\u201d said McNair, who is set to graduate with two computer science degrees in May. \u201cI like doing themes whether it\u2019s Valentine\u2019s Day or Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>That means her St. Patrick\u2019s Day post was a typical holiday post for her. But her other 2019 posts were not. A friend challenged McNair to post a story every day for her New Year\u2019s resolution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m more of a picture person, so I came up with the idea to post a photo every day, then I thought, \u2018Oh, my gosh! That\u2019s 365 different posts,\u201d she said. \u201cIf you check it out, I switched out the wigs every single day, but I actually completed it, my New Year\u2019s resolution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yes, McNair posted an elaborate Instagram photo shoot nearly every day in 2019.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_484868\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/APSU-student-Amanda-McNair-2.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-484868\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-484868\" title=\"Austin Peay State University student Amanda McNair. (APSU)<\/p><\/div>\n<h3>Here\u2019s a sampling of one post from each month:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Jan. 1<\/strong>: She announces <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BsFjN5TnPLW\/\" >the challenge<\/a>: \u201cPost something every day! For someone who loves taking pictures, this seems reasonable.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Feb. 9<\/strong>: This day celebrates National Bagels Day and National Pizza Pie Day, so McNair <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BtqvuuhnMZx\/\" >carb-loaded on both<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>March 10<\/strong>: On National Mario Day (Mar10), she found a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Bu1H5EpHIwC\/\" >Mario outfit<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>April 28<\/strong>: On National Superhero Day, she put on a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Bwzue4mnU3i\/\" >superhero costume<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>May 28<\/strong>: On National Hamburger Day, she dressed as a \u2026 yes, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/ByA3m9MBvG1\/\" >hamburger<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>June 3<\/strong>: On National Egg Day, she <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/ByQL4A0hrCV\/\" >juggled some eggs<\/a> (some did not survive).<\/li>\n<li><strong>July 23<\/strong>: On National Gorgeous Grandma, she put on a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B0QzZV4hT72\/\" >gray wig with curlers<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aug. 11<\/strong>: On National Spirit of \u201845 Day, she dressed as <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B1CxtvHBTvK\/\" >Rosie the Riveter<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sept. 15<\/strong>: On National Wife Appreciation Day, she put on <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B2bxT5eBJl2\/\" >a full wedding dress<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oct. 4<\/strong>: On National Taco Day, she dressed in a taco-themed shirt and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B3NCEbahqDE\/\" >munched on tacos<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nov. 4<\/strong>: On National Candy Day, she posed with an <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B4c9AekB3eZ\/\" >assortment of M&amp;Ms<\/a> AND an assortment of Chuck Taylors.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dec. 9<\/strong>: On National Pastry Day, she posted a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B53X5bXBpid\/\" >series of photos<\/a> chronicling her love of Pillsbury\u2019s Toaster Strudels. Pillsbury responded, \u201cLove it!\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cI took a lot of the photos myself because I couldn\u2019t find someone to take a picture of me every single day,\u201d McNair said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>McNair is focusing on holidays this year and not posting every day because, \u201cIt was just so much work.\u201d But her posts were a hit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome people were amazed, some people were always looking forward to it,\u201d she said. \u201cWhen I stopped, they were sad because it brought them joy. I didn\u2019t think it would bring anyone any.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[470center]<\/p>\n<h3>Pursuing two computer science degrees<\/h3>\n<p>McNair is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in computer information systems and another in computer information technology.
