\"GatewayClarksville, TN<\/strong> – On January 26th, 2020, the Gateway Chamber Orchestra (GCO) will perform \u2018Gran Partita\u2019 in the third concert of the 2019-2020 Masterworks Series. The GCO tugs at heartstrings in this concert featuring GCO cellist, Meghan Berindean.<\/p>\n

Works from Felix Mendelssohn and Jacques Ibert lead up to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart\u2019s powerful Gran Partita serenade, a signature work for the GCO that was featured on our debut recording and received national media praise.<\/p>\n

The concert will be held on Sunday, January 26th at 4:00pm at the George & Sharon Mabry Concert Hall. Individual ticket prices range from $18.00 to $30.00 with discounts given to students and active-duty military or reserve. Tickets are on sale now at gatewaychamberorchestra.com.<\/p>\n

The Masterworks Series explores established masterworks, overlooked treasures, and works by contemporary American composers. This season, titled \u2018Emotion Abounds,\u2019 presents a slate of powerful and emotional programs featuring favorite composers of the GCO, including Mozart, Schubert, Schoenburg, and, of course, Haydn, who will be celebrated in the annual \u2018America\u2019s Haydn Festival\u2019 on April 5th, 2020. The season will culminate with the 2nd annual \u2018BBQ, Brews & Beethoven\u2019 featuring Copland\u2019s \u2018Appalachian Spring,\u2019 local craft beer and delicious BBQ.<\/p>\n
