\"AustinClarksville, TN<\/strong> – From Thursday, November 21st-Sunday, November. 24th, 2019, the Austin Peay State University Department of Theatre and Dance and the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA) will present \u201cFive Savory Dishes\u201d \u2013 a world premiere evening of one-act plays written Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley. <\/p>\n

The performances are 7:30pm Thursday-Saturday with matinee performances at 2:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. All performances are at the Trahern Theatre. <\/p>\n

The Department of Theatre and Dance is excited to host these guests on campus!<\/p>\n

Tickets can be purchased online at www.apsutheatredancetix.com<\/a>. Advance online student\/military tickets are $5.00, and adult tickets are $10.00. Cash prices at the door are student\/military, $7.00, and adult, $12.00.<\/p>\n

APSU Governors try to clinch OVC title, automatic bid to FCS playoffs<\/h3>\n

The Austin Peay State University football team hosts Easter Illinois (1-10) at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 23rd, at Fortera Stadium with a ton at stake.<\/p>\n

If the Governors win, they\u2019ll win the OVC title and automatically qualify for the University\u2019s first-ever Football Championship Subdivision playoffs. <\/p>\n

[320left]A Governors win and a Southeast Missouri win in the final week of the season means the Govs share the title but clinch the automatic berth thanks to their 28-24 win over the Redhawks.<\/p>\n

A Governors win and a Southeast Missouri loss means an outright OVC title for Austin Peay football \u2013 the first in 42 years.<\/p>\n

APSU Board of Trustees meets November 21st-22nd<\/h3>\n

Austin Peay State University Board of Trustees. (APSU)<\/p><\/div>\n

On November 21st-22nd, the Austin Peay State University Board of Trustees will host its winter meetings on the APSU campus.<\/p>\n

The Board\u2019s Audit Committee will begin with a closed executive session to discuss risk assessment at 1:30pm that Thursday, with the regular session of the Audit Committee, Academic Affairs Committee, Business and Finance Committee and Student Affairs Committee meeting consecutively thereafter. <\/p>\n

A work session will take place at 3:00pm that afternoon, and the full Board will meet at 9:00am on Friday, November 22nd. <\/p>\n

All meetings will take place at 317 College Street and, with the exception of an executive session, are open to the public. <\/p>\n

APSU Women\u2019s basketball returns for home game against the Aces<\/h3>\n

The Austin Peay State University Governors host Evansville at 7:00pm Thursday, November 21st, at the Winfield Dunn Center, in the first home game since the team opened the season with an 82-62 win over Christian Brothers.<\/p>\n

Austin Peay State University Women’s Volleyball begins the OVC Tournament facing Morehead State, Thursday. (APSU Sports Information)<\/p><\/div>\n

The APSU Governors open OVC tournament play at 3:30pm, Thursday, November 21st, against Morehead State. The tournament is at Pete Mathews Coliseum at Jacksonville State. The tournament is through Saturday, November 23rd. <\/p>\n

\u2018Do it\u2019 exhibit continues<\/h3>\n

Austin Peay State University\u2019s 10-week run of the international \u201cdo it\u201d exhibit continues at The New Gallery in the Art + Design building on campus. The exhibit runs through December 6th.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo it\u201d is a 26-year global phenomenon that is a compendium of 400 written instructions by artists interpreted anew every time they are enacted. The New Gallery will have 22 sets of instructions by artists such as Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Adrian Piper, Yoko Ono, Alison Knowles, Sol LeWitt, David Lynch and Joan Jonas. <\/p>\n
