(APSU)\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The idea was a hit, growing in popularity over the years, and next month, Austin Peay State University\u2019s choral program will host the 10th Anniversary Holiday Dinner at 7:00pm on December 6th-7th in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s definitely a cohort of people who come every year, in addition to newly sponsored corporate tables, and different parents based on who\u2019s performing in the choir that year,\u201d Foster said. \u201cIt\u2019s a fantastic start to the season, with music celebrating winter, Hanukkah and Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tickets go on sale November 1st, and this year\u2019s Holiday Dinner will feature a new arrangement of the Christmas classic, \u201cDing Dong Merrily on High,\u201d and a special collaboration with the Madison Street United Methodist Church Hand Bell Choir on the holiday staple \u201cRing those Christmas Bells.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll also celebrate two recent retirements,\u201d Foster said. \u201cAdjunct instructor Susan Smith, who recently retired from the Nashville Symphony orchestra, and Professor Anne Glass, who recently retired from teaching piano at APSU.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s menu includes four entr\u00e9e options \u2013 vegetarian acorn squash (stuffed with quinoa, apples, pecans and cranberries), Swedish meatballs over egg noodles, salmon with dill cream sauce and ham with mustard gingersnap sauce.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for the black-tie optional dinner are $75.00, with proceeds supporting APSU choral scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoliday Dinner allowed us to create the choral activities endowment through the University Foundation last year at this time,\u201d Foster said. \u201cProfits from Holiday Dinner continue to be directed toward the endowment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Corporate sponsorships are also available, with sponsorship levels ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 for a table of 10 or 20.<\/p>\n<p>For information on the event, contact Foster at <a href=\"mailto:fosterk@apsu.edu\">fosterk@apsu.edu<\/a>.
