\"MontgomeryMontgomery County, TN<\/strong> – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 9th, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville.<\/p>\n

The keynote speaker is U.S. Army retired Colonel Rob Salome, who now serves as the Director of Strategy and Leadership Development for Solutions 21, a nationwide consulting firm.<\/p>\n

2019 Clarksville Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade to be held Saturday, November 9th.<\/p><\/div>\n

This year\u2019s Veterans Day parade theme is \u201cSalute to Veterans Service Organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Parade will begin at 10:00am at the corner of North Eighth Street and College Street, next to the Sundquist Science Building at Austin Peay State University (APSU), with the reviewing stand at the Third Street side of the courthouse. The parade will proceed from College Street left onto University Avenue, right onto Main Street, left onto Third Street, left onto Commerce Street, left onto University Avenue, right onto Franklin Street, left onto Eight Street and back to the APSU parking area.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Veterans Day Parade coincides with Austin Peay State University\u2019s Homecoming weekend \u2013 an occurrence that happens only once every five years. Due to the timing, there is increased participation with more than 150 entries signed up in this year\u2019s parade.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Veterans Day Parade is a major event for our community that provides an excellent opportunity to honor our military veterans. I hope to see thousands of people lining the streets to celebrate our veterans,\u201d said VSO Director Andrew Kester.<\/p>\n

Parade entry forms for veterans groups and other local organizations, as well as route maps, can be picked up at the office between 8:00am and 4:30pm, Monday \u2013 Friday, or by e-mail request to vetsvc@mcgtn.net<\/a><\/p>\n
